New Update!

Ok so it has been a really long time!  I guess I am not into blogging as much as Jen, but I have been too busy to even breathe somedays...it seems!
I updated some pictures of my loves!  I have been staying away from MSN space, since I had so many troubles and it was so darn slow!
Business is going well and the kids are growing big and strong!
I hope this finds you all blessed by God and in good spirits.
Take care and live well

it has been so long!

Hello all, I know it has been for ever so I figured I should update!  My daughter just turned a year and she is a true girl...  She loves Chocolate and is quite the little DRAMA QUEEN!  She is sick right now and wants everyone to know it!  My son is doing  very well hse is reading and getting better everyday!  I am still at work......hopefully not for too much longer.  I have a little bit done on the book a few chapters or so but I have been in a lul, due to some family drama and being busy with my life as well!  The business is going great and I am do ing well also.  The hubby and I could not get along better if we tried!!  I could not ask for more and I count my blessings everyday!
I tried to comment on Jens' space only to receive and error....
so Jenn this part is for you:
Does anyone else sence the stressed out tone in the wrinting?   She sounds a little bit like she has too much to do and needs to quit griping about all the friends she has made here.!!  You all only come here for a good laugh...do you not?  quit makine sound like work to entertain us!!! :X  love you jen, you have to learn how to say no!   Thanks for watching the babies last night!
don't let her fool you she looks great!!

Maybe you can paste it on your site for me since it won't work for me!  Love and God's blessinngs to you all!

Bread Winner Wife Here!!

So if any of you read the headlines on MSN you will know where I am coming from here!  I tried to post this on the board they had but I kept getting an error.  I had no idea that there were other mom out there like me!  The best part of me being the bread winner is that one of us is always with our kids, we can raise them as we see fit, and we have no daycare expenses!! ( no offense Jenn)  It would be a perfect world if we could get a tax break for this.  Yet why would the Govnerment pay our husbands, or a stay at home mom, the same we pay a complete stranger to take care of our kids.  In my eyes this is a job and should be treated as one, yet I don't make enough to pay my husband to be home!  It is a lot of work to take care of kids, yet we aer in a lower tax brakcet with only one major income.  Where is the fairness in that?  Yet on the flip-side, if we had two full time incomes and paid someone to care for our children, we would automatically be bumped up to another tax bracket and can include our "Lack of income" (that we would be forced to pay for day care) as an expense.  Where does this logic come from?  I am starting to wonder if anyone will ever get ahead in life.  Oh wait you are suppose to sleep your way to the top, or major the art of AR$# kissing!
Have a good weekend!

What a weekend!

Thanksgiving... a time to get together with family and loved ones. A time to stuff your face, and sleep through the conversations, or have the conversations and wonder why you didn't take a nap!!
So I went on a rampage this weekend. Friday I cleaned the house and did only as much as I could without waking up the kids! Saturday flew by with a quick breakfast, a short road trip and some more major cleaning. I rearragned the whole living room, myself, with my daughter playing and hollering at me from the play pen or her high chair.  I got tons of laundry done.  Yesterday I bought a new desk, chair, shelves for the closet and a storage container for my sons toys and other junk.  The desk took me two hours to put together myself and another half hour to put the chair together!  I had all of this done by 9pm and put both kids to bed.  I feel like I got a lot done and I am proud of my efforts!  so my husband comes home from work a nd see what I have done. All he can do is smile.  I head for bed and decide I need a kleenex, which are downstairs.  So I fall down the stairs again!!!  I think I broke my toe!! (ODE TO JENN)  My first broken bone and It has to be just like Jenn.  Except I won't walk six miles or do any running on the tread mill!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great weekend!  Take care and Happy Holidays!

Calgon.... take me away!

My son had this wonderful idea that he wanted to have his birthday party at a pizza place!  So I said ok.  We invtied eight kids and seven showed up.  (Imagine ... eight kids between the ages of three and seven.  Plus my nine month old!)
I had to pay 9.99 a kid, for two pieces of pizza each and all the pop you can drink.  (Keep in mind this is a knock-off Chuck E Cheese's, in a tin can, not the kind of place you want to go when you have a head ache, in fact Jenn took Advil before she went!)
The kids did ok for the most part.  Does anyone else get sick of hearing your self repeat yourself over and over and over....?  My son and I even got into an arguement over the fact that it was not a restaurant( his arguement) it is a restaurant(mine).  He can not seem to understand how important it is not to run in a restaurant.  You can see where this is going, seven year old~play place.  Mother~ food place.
Any how,  I was way over charged for this party and the main attraction, which is a Lion, comes out and stands there for about 30 seconds and goes away!  When this place first opened he would come out and dance and play with the kids.  Apparently that is too much work now so he just stands there and poses for a picture!  WOW- to me this is not work $100.
We get home and I am thinking, "oh if I could get to bed early, tomorrow will be a good day!"  My, now nine month old, decides to take a nap, which she needed. and gets up at about 6:30, this is normal for her.  So when be time comes around she is so tired she is whining and rubbing her eyes.  Ok I think no problem, both kids in bed by 8 and I can have a little time to myself.  She won't go to sleep without being rocked.  So finally I am rocking my self to sleep and she decides it is still play time!  Now it is 9:30.  We've been rocking for an hour and 15 minutes.  I lay her in her crib, because I can't keep my eyes open, and go get ready for bed.  When I come back she is jumping in her crib.  I lay her down and turn her music toy on.  Another hour passes and she is now crying so hard she is sobbing between her hollars.  Don't think I am a bad mother she was only crying for about five-ten minutes( she sleeps in my room).  so I get up and wrap her in her blanket and she then decides to cuddle, it is now 10:30.  I lay her down after about 10 minutes of more rocking and she is out.  So much for going to bed early!!!!!!!
You have to love being a mother! :)

A new look on life!

This was sent to me in a e-mail......  has to be passed on.  How many times do we forget that we areall children at heart?  Why do we stop enjoying what God put here for us to enjoy.  I hope you all stop and smell the flowers.  WE can not take life for granted.  I know I never will.  Life is too short and you have to take pleasure in what you have, and not your materialistic items either!

A little girl had been shopping with her Mom in Target.  She
must
have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image
of innocence.  It was pouring outside.  The kind of rain that gushes
over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it
has no time to flow down the spout.  We all stood there under the
awning and just inside the door of the Target.

We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature
messed up their hurried day.  I am always mesmerized by rainfall.  I
got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt
and dust of the world.  Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a
child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the worries of my day.

The little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance
we were all caught in, "Mom, let's run through the rain," she said.

        "What?" Mom asked.

"Let's run through the rain!" She repeated.

"No, honey.  We'll wait until it slows down a bit," Mom
replied.

This young child waited about another minute and repeated,
"Mom, let's run through the rain."

"We'll get soaked if we do," Mom said.

"No, we won't, Mom.  That's not what you said this morning,"
the young girl said as she tugged at her Mom's arm.

"This morning?  When did I say we could run through the rain
and not get wet?"

"Don't you remember?  When you were talking to Daddy about his
cancer, you said, 'If God can get us through this, he can get us
through anything!'"

The entire crowd stopped dead silent.  I swear you couldn't
hear anything but the rain.  We all stood silently.  No one came or
left in the next few minutes.
Mom paused and thought for a moment about what she would say.
Now some would laugh it off and scold her for being silly.  Some might
even
ignore what was said.  But this was a moment of affirmation in a young
child's life.  A time when innocent trust can be nurtured so that it
will bloom into faith.

"Honey, you are absolutely right.  Let's run through the rain.
If God let's us get wet, well maybe we just needed washing," Mom said.

Then off they ran  We all stood watching, smiling and laughing
as they darted past the cars and yes, through the puddles.  They held
their shopping bags over their heads just in case.  They got soaked.
But they were followed by a few who screamed and laughed like children
all the way to their cars.

And yes, I did  I ran.  I got wet.  I needed washing.

Circumstances or people can take away your material
possessions,
they can take away your money, and they can take away your health.

But no one can ever take away your precious memories... So,
don't forget to make time and take opportunities to make memories
everyday.  To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose
under heaven.

slow recovery

So I fell down the stairs 6 weeks ago and my back still hurts.  I think a deeper bruise is starting to surface.  I have been working on my book.... still looking for ideas!  So if anyone wants to put in some input feel free!
It is going to be a cold halloween!  Not looking forward to that with two little ones!  I just hope we get lots of candy so that I can add it to my waist line!  GO ME GO ME!!
My business is finally taking off and I am trying to do so many things at once that I spin watching myself!
Jen is going to take a vacation and tells me about it everytime I see her....(good for you!).  I'm not excited for her because she isn't taking me and I need a vacation too!  Plus she keeps rubbing it in my face... she even has Caleb telling me about it!  What a good friend huh?

So I wish you all a safe Halloween! Eat all of your kids' candy so that they don't become Obese in the future, it is ok if we do.... most of us are anyway!
Take care and have a great week!! :)

Writing a book!

So my mother-in-law told me I should write a book about my family tree, since she can't keep it straight.  I decided to take it one step further and write a book about how to raise children.  I am looking for helpful hints I have lots of ideas of how not to raise your children!!  From my childhood!  I would be honored if any one has any suggestions.  If you would like to have your ideas put in I will quote you, with your permission of course and I would need to know your name.  I plan to have the book finished by the end of next year, that would be December 2007.  I am mostly looking for suggestions on the teenage years, (I can remember mine but I don't think my parents dealt real well with it!!) as well as decinplining withou damageing their little minds!  All hints are greatly appreciated... i will also keep it anonomous if you prefer!  Thanks all for your help!
Take care

Home again, home again!

We made it home!!!  Almost not!  Our six am flight didn't leave untill 8:30am and we missed our connecting flight!  Luckly they rebooked us and we made it home.  granted my cell phone died and I had to call collect and then charge the credit card twice to make sure I got picked up!  Are you aware that you are charged $14.00 for the first three minutes and .98 cents each there after?  Ouch!

So our trip went well, only one trip to an urgent care facility.  Acute conjunctivits in the baby (pink eye, for those of you who don't know what that means!!).  I swear we can't leave the state!  First it was our son and now the baby is following his foot steps!
Have a great week all I am off to work on my business..... so I don't have to keep this body straining job any more!
I sure hope Jenny is having a good time!
Take care all!
